CD Changers were first offered in '95, and all the F-cars are pre-wired for the changer.  Your head unit must have the CD Changer option for it to control the CD changer.  93-94 vehicles can add a CD changer by purchasing a changer harness.

For your stereo head unit to be able to control the CD changer, you will need to remove the stereo head unit and look to see if your unit has the single 9-pin connector as shown below.  If the head unit doesn't have the connector, it will not be able to control the CD changer.
